Escheatable (DORMANT) Account Announcement. ⚠️
If your account has had NO ACTIVITY in the last year and you have not contacted the credit union your account becomes DORMANT. After 3 years of DORMANT STATUS your account becomes escheatable. Escheatable means your funds WILL BE SENT to the State Comptroller. The deadline for accounts in this status is July 1, 2018. On this date if we are not contacted by you… your account your funds will be sent to the State Comptroller. This is in accordance with Texas State Law PROPERTY CODE / TITLE 6. UNCLAIMED PROPERTY / CHAPTER 71. ESCHEAT OF PROPERTY
