Smart Solutions Representative – (Beaumont, TX)

Responsibilities:  Primary duties include assisting members and potential members with opening and closing all available deposit accounts. Provide accurate information on membership eligibility, products and services. Interviews members, takes loan applications, process loan applications and recommends loan alternatives. Cross-sell product and services to members. Support and utilize sales culture techniques by indentifying opportunities. Assist with offering and implementing other various products and services offered by the credit union to the membership. Assist member with financial transaction requests. Act as liaison between members and various organizational and departments.

Requirements:  Candidates will have at least one year to three years of similar or related experience. A high school diploma or GED. Have above average listening, communication and organizational skills. Ability to operate office equipment. Must be able to handle multiple, conflicting deadlines and projects. Interviewing skills and techniques. Ability to general essential reports, interpret data, and calculate ratios including the resolution of problems and incorrect information. Working knowledge of lending analysis techniques. Understand negotiable instruments and the various clearing processes.

Business Services Representative – Hispanic Markets – (Beaumont, TX)

Responsibilities: Partners with other internal departments in researching prospective business relationships and developing those relationships through individual calling programs, scheduling appointments, and following up with prospective new business relationships in the Hispanic market. Works closely with new and existing business members to understand their financial needs; forging trustful relationships by assisting with a wide-array of financial solutions to satisfy their saving and borrowing needs. Assists business members with opening and closing accounts, answers questions about products and services and resolves problems that are within authority to resolve. Coordinates with the Marketing department to provide financial education seminars and presentations to enhance financial and brand awareness within the Hispanic community, including the use of Smart Change and Smart Change Scholars programs. Participates in appropriate business-related events, activities, and organizations representing the Credit Union at various functions to develop relationships with businesses in the Hispanic market. Acts as liaison between business members and various departments, keeping in close contact with business members to assess any needs. Assists in the development of promotional strategies to meet business development goals for member recruitment. Assures that appropriate records are maintained and required reports are prepared.

Requirements:  Candidates will have three to five years of similar or related experience. A high school education or GED. Must be fluent in reading, writing and speaking English and Spanish along with strong public speaking and presentation skills. Proven sales and customer service experience; business and financial acumen. Strong listening and customer service skills; skilled in making outbound calls. Ability to problem solve and provide solutions to member issues. Desire to build strong relationships with teammates and other departments through collaboration. Self-motivated, confident and the ability to multitask effectively. Must be able to operate related computer software and business equipment including Microsoft Office, ten-key calculator, computer, phone and keyboard skills. Professionalism in appearance, dress and attitude is a must.

Business Loan Processor – (Beaumont, TX)

Responsibilities: Prepares business loans for closing, ensures that all documentation required before closing has been obtained, prepares and monitors loan closing check list. Maintains the loan records; sets up relevant files and maintains existing files within the department. Prepares loan notices, manages exception report and other documentation as required. Assists the Business Lending & Services Department with annual review of loan portfolio. Obtains credit information and ensures sufficient loan collateral. Files loan documents with appropriate agencies. Answers member phone calls.

Requirements:  Candidates will have three years to five years of similar or related experience. A two-year college degree or completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program.  Must have good communication skills. Familiarity with computer programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and other relevant software use skills, 10-key calculate and typing skills.

Teller II – Full Time (Beaumont, TX)

Responsibilities:  Primary duties include receiving and processing member financial transactions. Sells negotiable and miscellaneous items the credit union offers to the membership. Resolves member problems within authority. Balances cash drawer and daily transactions. ATM daily maintenance. Encoding duties, inventory and maintenance of cash dispense machines. Welcomes members and provides routine information concerning products and services.

Requirements:  Candidates will have at least one year of similar or related experience. High school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of common scam and fraud prevention practices. Process an overall knowledge of the resources and services as frontline, first contact with members. Knowledge of the fundamentals of the financial industry, including an understanding of the Federal Reserve System, the check clearing process and the legal theory of negotiable instruments and collections. Ability to operate general office equipment.

Teller I – Full Time (Beaumont, TX)

Responsibilities:  Primary duties include processing monetary transactions of members (i.e. cashier’s checks, money orders, traveler’s checks, saving bonds, loan payments, etc.), and managing the funds of an assigned station; delivering quality member service by greeting and responding to members promptly and courteously and executing competent security procedures by being observant and informed about potential security risks.

Requirements:  Candidates will have at least six months cash handling experience, with prior teller experience being a plus; a high school diploma or equivalent; must know 10-key by touch and be proficient using Windows based operating systems. Strong customer service skills, in addition to a high level of detail orientation are necessary.  In addition, must have the ability to cross-sell credit union promotions and products.

Part Time Teller I – (Vidor & Lumberton, TX)

Responsibilities:  Primary duties include processing monetary transactions of members (i.e. cashier’s checks, money orders, traveler’s checks, saving bonds, loan payments, etc.), and managing the funds of an assigned station; delivering quality member service by greeting and responding to members promptly and courteously and executing competent security procedures by being observant and informed about potential security risks.
