Mortgage Loan Originator – Full Time (Beaumont,  TX)

Responsibilities:  Primary duties include developing relationships with members and realtors to build a loan pipeline that result in consistent monthly loan production to supplement internal loan opportunities. Identify potential members and non-members that would benefit from a mortgage loan. Work prospect lists self-generated or management provided, tracking progress and success. Determine and discuss most beneficial loan options with the prospective borrower. Secure loan application and verify agreed upon loan terms meet loan approval. Manage inbound phone inquiries specific to obtaining new loan applications, internal refinance applications and internal modification requests. Maintain a working knowledge of correspondent lending programs, pricing and application entry. Discuss the loan decision with the member. Responsible for generating necessary disclosures, form letters and discuss required stipulations on loan approval. Discuss financing and payment options. Negotiate terms and conditions as permitted by policy to ensure member satisfaction. Verify documentation provided by member satisfies underwriter stipulations. Forward documentation in a timely manner. Create appropriate tracking and document account as required. Track and report sales leads and loan pipeline on a daily basis. Provide reports and updates to management upon request. Track and report all promo and advertising campaigns, reporting to management upon request.  Responsible for communication with the borrower from time of application through loan closing. To include disclosure fulfillment, verbal communication of approval or denial details, request and satisfaction of stipulations. Communicate with Realtors, buyer and seller realtors, throughout the loan process to build a base of realtor contacts to drive business. Communicate with underwriting and processing personnel to ensure satisfaction of required documentation and requested stipulations to ensure loan closing. Re-disclose documents when necessary. Assist in escalated decision related situations. Discuss rate lock options with member and lock loan terms with rate lock desk. Build relationships with borrowers to develop a base of members who will drive referral business to the CU.  Review pending queue periodically. Responsible for ongoing tracking and compiling needed documentation. Determine why the member has not closed. Work with the member on any unresolved issues to expedite closing. Negotiate with member, as allowed by policy, to ensure closing takes place. Assist with processing in gathering trailing stipulations needed for loan closing.

Requirements: Candidates will have one year to three years of similar or related experience.  A two year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program.  Must have excellent listening and communication skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, while managing daily workflow effectively and efficiently.  Must be able to operate related computer software and business equipment, including FCIS and XP systems. Must be able to make decisions with minimum information. Professionalism in appearance, dress and attitude is a must. Well-organized and attention to detail. Ability to work independently or as a member of a team.

Mortgage Loan Underwriter – Full Time (Beaumont,  TX)

Responsibilities:  Primary duties include being responsible for providing support for all mortgage loan-processing activities. Receives, evaluates and reviews and underwrites all loans submitted for underwriting review and potentially approval.  Obtains and verifies necessary information and prepares feedback after each underwriting review after careful consideration of all documents that impact underwriting and closing review. Reviews flood zone certification as required. Communicates loan status to Mortgage Team. Reviews proof of insurance as required on mortgage loans. Assists or refers CU members and employees as necessary. Executes Adverse Action and dispositions files where required. Must be seasoned to understand financial laws of Mortgage Compliance.

Requirements: Candidates will have three years to five years of similar or related experience. A two year degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or completion of a specialist and extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program. Must have a thorough understanding of mortgage loan underwriting functions, including FHA/VA and conventional lending. Knowledge of mortgage related requirements, procedures, and underwriting criteria. Strong analytical and math skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, while managing daily workflow effectively and efficiently. Must have excellent listening and communication skills. Well-organized and above average attention to detail. Must be able to operate related computer software, applications and business equipment. Strong typing abilities, ability to work independently or as a member of a team. Professionalism in appearance, dress and attitude is a must.

Full Service Representative – Full Time (Beaumont, TX)

 Responsibilities:  Primary duties include assisting members and potential members with their CU needs. Providing expertise with respect to more complex CU products and services, including but not limited to IRAs, Share Certificates, electronic funds transfer, payroll deduction, home banking, etc. Explaining services, setting up new accounts, processing loan applications, responding to problems and directing members to the appropriate people.

Requirements:  Candidates will have one year to three years of similar or related experience. A high school diploma or GED. Ability to operate general office equipment and related computer software provided by the CU. Have above average listening, communication and organizational skills. Interviewing skills and techniques. Be able to handle multiple, conflicting deadlines and projects. Ability to general essential reports, interpret data and calculate ratios. Working knowledge of lending analysis.

(2) Member Service Representative – Full Time (Vidor, TX and Beaumont, TX)

Responsibilities:  Primary duties include assisting members with opening and closing all available deposit accounts, providing accurate information and service on membership eligibility, products and services. Interviews members, takes loan applications, processes loan applications and recommends loan alternatives when necessary. Cross sells products and services to members, Assists members with their financial transactions, maintains with offering and implementing other various products and services offered by the Credit Union to the membership. Assists with procedure development as needed.

Requirements:  Candidates will have one year to three years of similar or related experience, a high school education or GED.  Above average listening, communication skills, interviewing skills and techniques. Ability to operate general office equipment and related computer software provided by the Credit Union. Be able to handle multiple, conflicting deadlines and projects. Ability to generate essential reports, interpret data and calculate ratios including the resolution of problems and incorrect information. Working knowledge of lending analysis techniques.

Call Center Representative – Full Time (Beaumont, TX)

Responsibilities:  Primary duties include responding to general inquiries regarding the credit union and its products and services. Assisting members and potential members with initiating all available deposit accounts, performs account research. Interviews members, takes loan applications and/or recommends loan alternatives. Cross-sell products and services to members as a solution to members needs. Maintain appropriate records and prepare required reports for deposit accounts and loans, including disclosures and other compliance related requirements.

Requirements:  Candidates will have six months to two years of similar or related experience. A high school education or GED. Must have good listening and communication skills, ability to operate general office equipment, must be able to operate related computer software as provided by the credit union. Ability to general essential reports, interprets data and calculates ratios, identify acceptable manners of personal identification for telephone security. Must understand the basics of the Federal Reserve System, check clearing process and negotiable instruments and internal and external electronic ACH.

Collector – Full Time (Beaumont, TX)

Responsibilities:  Primary duties preserving the Credit Union’s assets by controlling delinquent loan accounts, collecting delinquent loan payments and/or recovering collateral. Maintains accurate files and reports. Testifies at legal proceedings. Informs management of trends in loan underwriting contributing to delinquent/charged-off loans. Files death and disability insurance for members, posts payments and monitors accounts.

Requirements:  Candidates will have at least three years of similar or related experience. A two year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school. Must have above average listening, communication and negotiating skills. Ability to operate related computer software and business equipment including Microsoft Office and Outlook, and ten-key calculator. Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and manage multiple responsibilities.

Teller II – Full Time (Beaumont, TX)

Responsibilities:  Primary duties include receiving and processing member financial transactions. Sells negotiable and miscellaneous items the credit union offers to the membership. Resolves member problems within authority. Balances cash drawer and daily transactions. ATM daily maintenance. Encoding duties, inventory and maintenance of cash dispense machines. Welcomes members and provides routine information concerning products and services.

Requirements:  Candidates will have at least six months of similar or related experience. High school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of common scam and fraud prevention practices. Process an overall knowledge of the resources and services as frontline, first contact with members. Knowledge of the fundamentals of the financial industry, including an understanding of the Federal Reserve System, the check clearing process and the legal theory of negotiable instruments and collections. Ability to operate general office equipment

Teller I – Full Time (Beaumont, TX)

 Responsibilities:  Primary duties include processing monetary transactions of members (i.e. cashier’s checks, money orders, traveler’s checks, saving bonds, loan payments, etc.), and managing the funds of an assigned station; delivering quality member service by greeting and responding to members promptly and courteously and executing competent security procedures by being observant and informed about potential security risks.

Requirements:  Candidates will have at least six months cash handling experience, with prior teller experience being a plus; a high school diploma or equivalent; must know 10-key by touch and be proficient using Windows based operating systems. Strong customer service skills, in addition to a high level of detail orientation are necessary.  In addition, must have the ability to cross-sell credit union promotions and products.

Part-Time Teller I (Beaumont, TX  and Silsbee, TX)

Responsibilities:  Primary duties include processing monetary transactions of members (i.e. cashier’s checks, money orders, traveler’s checks, saving bonds, loan payments, etc.), and managing the funds of an assigned station; delivering quality member service by greeting and responding to members promptly and courteously and executing competent security procedures by being observant and informed about potential security risks.

Requirements:  Candidates will have at least six months cash handling experience, with prior teller experience being a plus; a high school diploma or equivalent; must know 10-key by touch and be proficient using Windows based operating systems.
